LANGHOLM REFUSED DOUBLE UP
Langholm have been refused the chance to double up Saturday's match against St. Boswells after the Border League clubs voted on the matter, despite St. Boswells & Kelso playing a double header last week, after no other clubs were consulted. However the league title is still in limbo and shall be discussed at the Emergency General Meeting of The Border League that has been called for Wednesday 3rd September.

DUCK TROPHY RACE HOTTING UP
After this weekend's fixtures, the race for the most prestigeous prize in Langhom Cricket Club: The Douglas Beattie Duck Trophy is hotting up. Spx who has been leading for weeks, is now a worried man as two youngsters are hot on his tail feathers. Jack Pool's Golden Duck on Saturday and Euan Wilson failing to score yesterday have brought them equal with Spx. With only a few games left my moneys on Jack! For those of you to young to remember, Dougie(above right) played between 1994-2005, in 19 1st XI Innings he only troubled the scorer 5 times.

Sunday saw Langholm's two sides register two victories. The 1sts saw off Gala in good style in the 20/20 League while a very young 2nds, minus four old stagers, completed an impressive victory over Kinmount at The Castleholm.
